Abraham Weintraub stands up for the conservatives in remodeled Party in Brasil

Former Minister of Education (2019 - 2020) and actual Executive Director for the World Bank Abraham Weintraub stood up for the conservatives in Brazil, on this Saturday (12).

Weintraub and his political group have been working for over a year to bring together over a hundred local political leaderships in the state of São Paulo, the richest and most populous in Brasil, with 45 million people and a US$ 600 billion GDP.

Weintraub was amongst the first to join Bolsonaro in 2017 for his successful campaign for presidency in 2018. Graduated in Economy with vast experience in the financial market, Abraham and his brother Arthur Weintraub, lawyer, Ph.D, proposed and passed a meaningful pension reform, were responsible for the government planning and steered the transition from the communist party PT to Bolsonaro.

This Saturday, the Party Brasil 35 gathered hundreds of their supporters in São Paulo for the launch of a new conservative party, with ideas based on principles and values of freedom, fight against narcotrafficking and corruption in the highest levels of Brazilian politics and businesses.

I'm proud to be part of this construction as well as aware of the battle rising on the horizon. The political use of the pandemics to impose the supression of individual liberties in Brazil was unprecedented.

The country lives now under the threat of the return of corruption and, worst of all, the threat of the rising of a strong arm-twisting libertyies-slashing state. Exactly whay we stand up against right now.
