NFL Trade Deadline 2021: Live updates, rumors and latest deals as teams get set for second-half push

The 2021 NFL trade deadline is Tuesday, and we're tracking all the latest deals and rumors

Sports

Welcome to the 2021 NFL trade deadline! On Tuesday, almost every decision-maker in the league will be on the horn trying to wheel and deal to improve their club for either the stretch run of this year or to build going forward. Those conversations will likely spark up countless times leading up to 4 p.m. ET, when the trading window will officially close.

The biggest name on the trade market this year is Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson, who has been on the block since he asked for a trade in March. The NFL is still investigating Watson, who is facing 22 lawsuits alleging sexual harassment and inappropriate conduct and 10 criminal complaints, though no charges have been filed and the quarterback has denied the accusations. Those cases are ongoing, which has made it difficult for the league and the Texans to take any action regarding a possible suspension or trade. Watson has not been placed on the commissioner's exempt list because it has not been concluded by the league that a major violation occurred.

The Carolina Panthers and Miami Dolphins are the main suitors for Watson, but talks involving a deal have stalled in the coming days. Outside of Watson, players that could be on the trading block include Chicago Bears wide receiver Allen Robinson, Miami Dolphins cornerback Xavien Howard and Indianapolis Colts running back Marlon Mack. Hard to count out other moves the Texans would make in the hours before the deadline, including wide receiver Brandin Cooks.
