Today, we present the top 5 places to eat the best “pan con lechon” in Miami

Of all the traditional Cuban-style sandwiches, pan con lechón is arguably the most Cuban. No need for ingredients mostly unavailable in Cuba. You bake the bread, you kill the pig. Seasoning is garlic, salt and juice from sour oranges that grow in your yard. More than the famous cubano, pan con lechón tastes to me like Cuba itself.

1. El Mejor Pan Con Lechon: 2928 NW 17th Ave

Miami, FL 33142 : If you're ever near give this place a try, I promise you won't regret it. They are Cuban pork sandwiches that can come with or without onions with their special sauce. You'll thank me later for telling you about this place !

2. La esquina del Lechon: 8601 N.W. 58th Street Suite 101, Miami, Florida 33178 (Doral) Generous, delicious food. Prices are very fair. 

3. Papo Llega Y Pon: 2928 NW 17th Ave - Hands down the Best Pan con Lechon in Miami! I ordered the the largest one the "flauta" and shared it which was more than enough. The sandwich has roast pork as well as crispy pork on top which brings such a balance  of textures to the sandwich.

4. Abuela Mami : 1917 NE 168 St, North Miami Beach, FL - Rated 4.8 based on 125 reviews! Delicious pan con lechon. The coffee is awesome!

5. Mi Abuelita's Kitchen: 6905 W 12th Ave, Hialeah, FL 33014 - One of the best restaurants in South Florida, and an incredibly rich and inventive menu with a fantastic wine menu (and great sommelier).
