What you missed at the Super Bowl:

The Kansas City Chiefs defeated the Philadelphia Eagles, 38-35, in the 57th Super Bowl at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.

The Chiefs dominated the second half, scoring three touchdowns to the Eagles' one TD and a field goal. The game was partly decided on a controversial defensive holding call against the Eagles with less than two minutes remaining, prompting a torrent of online backlash.

Multiple Super Bowl records were set, including the longest punt return, by the Chiefs' Kadarius Toney, and the most rushing yards by a quarterback, with the Eagles' Jalen Hurts rushing for 70.

Despite playing with an injured ankle, Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes, the game's MVP, threw for 182 yards and three touchdowns.

Rihanna headlined the halftime show. A representative for RiRi confirmed to NBC News that she is pregnant again. Fans speculated that the artist might be pregnant after she cradled her midsection several times during her performance.

This year's ads featured plenty of celebrities, but even the most anticipated ads, including two from a Christian evangelical group promoting a website called HeGetsUs.com, failed to generate much buzz on social media. Fox said commercial spots for the Super Bowl sold out, with peak prices at more than $7 million for 30-second spots, according to CNBC.

Pro football's 2022-23 season has come to an end, and the most devoted fans will have to put up with basketball, hockey and baseball until the next Super Bowl — set for Feb. 11, 2024, in Las Vegas.

It’ll be the first Super Bowl in Sin City, which became an NFL town in 2020 after the relocation of the Oakland Raiders.

The 58th Super Bowl was originally set to be played in New Orleans. But when the NFL expanded its regular season to 17 games, it bumped the Super Bowl to the second week of February.

That brought pro football’s title game a little too close to Mardi Gras, the day nothing — except for nonstop fun — happens in the Big Easy.

Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes is taking home a second Super Bowl ring and most valuable player award.

Mahomes kept his team consistent, playing through the apparent pain of an ankle injury and coming back from behind before the end of the first half to take the game. Despite leaving the field limping just before halftime, Mahomes returned to the field to lead the Chiefs back to the winner's circle.

Eagles QB Jalen Hurts undeniably gave Mahomes a run for his money. Hurts made history, becoming the first player in NFL history to rush for two or more touchdowns and throw for another in a Super Bowl. Then he broke a Super Bowl record for most rushing yards by a quarterback, beating out the 2000 Super Bowl record set by Tennessee Titans QB Steve McNair.

But ultimately, Mahomes came out on top.

Twitter users were all over the NFL's refs for a very consequential holding call against the Eagles that helped the Chiefs run the clock down before their game-winning field goal. And it wasn't just Eagles fans.
