BRAZIL: Preventing Violence Against Black Women Using Early Childhood Education

The Maria da Penha Law on Domestic and Family Violence, which calls for the establishment of special courts and stricter sentences for criminals in Brazil, is an extraordinary achievement for young, poor, and black women, but it is not enough. In addition to that, rethinking stereotypes of women related to sexuality in the judiciary power can stop this violence.
